Ajdovščina
Ajdovščina is a small town with a population of around 6600 people on area of 7 km2, located in the Vipava Valley, Slovenia. With elevation 106 m and 25 km from the Adriatic Sea, Ajdovščina has mild Mediterranean climate so in June, there will be around 20°C – 30°C.
Going back over two thousand years, the history of the town starts with the Romans who constructed the first road station next to the Hubelj River, expanding it to the mighty military fort Castrum Ad Fluvium Frigidum (‘Fortress by the Cold River’) designed to protect the east border of the Roman Empire.
Don’t be surprised if you happen upon a mountain biker in full gear, someone with a massive paragliding backpack or hikers and runners during your stroll down the streets of Ajdovščina. Just around the bend, right at the end of the street lie numerous paths and endless possibilities for outdoor activities.
In the town there is also radio club Ajdovščina (S53AAN) with long tradition. Radio club is active on amateur radio bands and also on ARDF. They have strong team, from which came two ARDF World vice – Champions and one European Champion.

Accommodation
The participants will be staying at Students Hall of residence Ajdovščina, in air-conditioned two or three-bed rooms. In all the tract there are shared toilets and a bathroom with washbasins and showers. Some rooms have their own bathroom. There are also tea kitchens available, a renovated lobby and WiFi internet access in all rooms.
Location
Most of competitors usually come with their own transport. Therefore, you may use the given coordinates for your navigation system – GPS – 45° 53′ 27” N 13° 54′ 6” E Official parking is at the back side of Students Hall of residence, next to the sports Hall.
